Max Torque Rpm Range - For 6MT

So I just got my car 2 weeks ago and noticed a couple of things:

- The stock tires that come with the sport package 18s seem slippery until warmed up. I see my traction control light coming on whenever I'm in 2nd gear and I floor the accelerator to overtake in traffic. This "slippage" happens less when I've been driving a little more aggressive and I thus assume my tires are warmed up. (this also means I have a bad-ass 335i!!!!!!! yeah!!!!)

- I find that when I'm in 2nd or 3rd gear and I try to gradually floor it from say 2,000 rpm there is not much pull. But when i attempt this at 3,200 rpm or so, the car really takes off. It's quite amazing really. But I was wondering when exactly does MAX torque take place and at what rpm range beginning? Its advertised at 1400rpm, but that does not seem to be the case. There is no "T-lag" but the power just isn't as linear.

Any thoughts and driving advice on how to properly take advantage of the rev ranges.....please feel free to write a novel.

Look at a dyno graph and find the highest point on the torque curve. From Shiv's baseline dyno, the peak torque really is at 2000 to 3500 with only slight variances. I don't think any car feels all THAT fast when floored at 2000rpm in anything higher than first gear, even if it's making peak torque (within reason of course).

It will be max torque at full boost, so there will be a delay at low revs as the turbos spool up. Its called turbo lag even though the 335 isn't supposed to have any
