Navigation On screen

Is there any way to have the Navigation map displayed on the screen when you are NOT currently en route to a programmed destination (instead of the i drive screen, radio display, etc)?

What do you mean by nav on screen ?

Do you mean just tracking your current location? If that's what you're refering too then yes. Just select one of the view's. But you can't make that the default screen.

Yes. Select navigation, pull/click the knob 3 times "south" and then one
push/click down. You will get the map on the main display.

Or hold the wheel to the right for 3-4 seconds, it'll automatically go to the last map view you had it set on (perspective for me).

In addition to the other comments, you can have the left 2/3 show the map and the right 1/3 show other navigation aspects such as the location (lat./long./alt.), street/road name, city/locale, etc. or the computer data or mpg and mph, etc.

What you can't get is two different displays of the map. If you set the left side to show the map with North to the top, when you select the map on the right with perspective, both displays show the perspective.
