That really sucks...how deep is the scratch? If it went through the clearcoat you are going to have to get repainted.

I know here in the uk there are companies that will come to you and professionally touch in the scratch. Saves getting the doors painted? Never had cause to use any of them, but I know many of the garages use them themselves, so there must be something in it?? Anyone used one of these type of repairers??

A good touch up guy could fix it but it most likely wont look 100%. needs to be filled with paint, then wet sanded and then buffed. Chris

Jeeeeez man, I can't believe someone would be low enough to do something like that. It's unconscionable. I think it will definitely take complete door(s) painting in order to make it perfect again. Damn! You just don't ever mess with another man's vehicle!

Sorry, man. That's terrible. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Vandalism is the thing I'm always worried about most. It seems to be happening a lot, just by looking around on the forum here, so you're not alone. File a report, call your insurance, be careful where you park, and keep your eyes peeled around your house for any scumbags looking to cause some damage.

Funny, I can easy believe it...
People are becoming the lowest form of life lately.

Good news is they have to answer for what they do in life,
and I bet these low-lifes won't get off easy either!

While it is a bummer and will cost a couple of hundred dollars, the good news is it will look as good as new when fixed. I had my WRX keyed in NYC and my M3 hit by a push cart. My body shop repainted the damaged areas and they both looked great.

Sorry to hear the bad news but you and the car will get over it.

I must agree with Bigger Twin here: my E46 323Ci was keyed awhile back (I guess I chose the WRONG parking spot),
but after the repair it looked brand spankin' new, even better than before I thought.

Added bonus: any door dings or nicks on that side will be gone.

Sorry for your pain. People are so ruthless and coward at the same time. Find out who did it....so we could all take turn to beat the crap out of him......hopefully it's not a her........because like I said.....women, they hold long grudges....they forgive, but never forget.

My car was keyed 360 degrees about a year ago...I was so pissed I could hardly see straight. But, the body shop at my BMW dealer was able to fix it without repainting the car. So I assume a good body shop can do the same with you.
