why is the recommended tire pressure higher in the 2007 Owner's Manual?
I've been comparing the specified tire inflation pressures listed in the 2006 and 2007 owner's manual for North America.
For the most part BMW is recommending higher pressures in the 2007 manual for the same spec tire than it did in 2006? In the 2006 manual there are many mentions of 29 psi for certain chassis\weight\speed combinations. In the 2007 manual the lowest listed pressure is 32 psi. I noticed that for my 325i the Bridgestone Potenza are spec'd to be inflated to 29 psi front, but for the 328i the same tire is spec'd at 32 psi front? I know they are different models but if you compare the 323i model years you will see the same thing. |
