How do you read autocross results?
hey sorry for the newbie question, but i just had my first autocross today and i'm alittle confused on reading the results. here are my results:
Times ------------------------------------ Total 97.633 96.423 88.466+1 87.591 85.805+1 73.313 ----------------------------------------- 0.137 now i know the first 5 numbers are my run times (with +1 being my cone penalty), but why is the 4th run in bold when my 5th run was my best? and what is the total number at the end? its much lower than any of my lap times so it can't be an average. is it an adjusted lap time based on my car class or something? and lastly, what is the .137 number under my total. thanks for your help. EDIT: i found out what the .137 is but i'm still unsure about the rest Last edited by blaze739; 05-01-2010 at 09:47 PM.. |

as for the 73.313 I'm not too sure. the total is usually = your fastest time. It could be your pax time...but that usually shows your pax index too as well as being titled "pax time" Just to make sure you're clear on the 0.137 That's how much slower you were than the driver that placed before you. What organization is this with? Could help to figure out what that last number is. |

this was with SCCA in northern NJ. i believe i saw that 73.313 number in another result listing marked pax time and it was multiplied by .8XX i think. so maybe it is pax time but i'm not sure what that is. i'll do a google search though. Last edited by blaze739; 05-03-2010 at 09:05 AM.. |

PAX is just away of adjusting times across classes to rate how all of the drivers did compared to each other. So the PAX multiplier lowers the time for the slower cars more than it does for the faster classes.
