Trackers Help required!

Apparently I didn't do my homework properly and I am stuck and need advice quick.

I have e90 sedan and got myself Harold's AST/Swift combo with Camber plates. I read somewhere the sedan can fit 255s tires in front. I have Dunlop direzzas 255/40/17 on Kosei K1 17/8.5/40 mm offset. That Tire/wheel combo does work on the stock setup, but it doesn't with the coilover as the spring base sits lower and rubs the inside tire shoulder.

What to do? Spacers? how thick? Any other solution?

Looks like it's the offset that is the culprit. Harold mentions a 3mm spacer would solve the issue. Think I'll go with 5mm spacer.

Spacers can fix the issue. Depending on how badly they are both rubbing each other, a 5mm spacer should solve the issue. Be sure to buy the proper length lug bolt to accommodate the 5mm too.

Spacers ordered, just hoping the 5mm would be enough!

IMNSHO, if you're going to run spacers you're better off converting to studs.

Much easier to change tires back and forth. It gets hard holding spacers up and trying to line them up all the time.

Yep. And also with small-ish spacers, the wheels don't always sit centered to the hub even with extended bolts, so when you tighten the bolts unless you're anal and tighten them 20% to torque at a time and go around in the star pattern over and over again until you achieve the desired even torque on all bolts, you'll end up with a weird vibration from the wheel like they're not balanced right.

Most larger spacers, if they have the hub lips built-in won't have this problem. It's the 5mm-8mm range where it's a problem in my experience. With studs the wheels are centered on the studs a little better and with skinny spacers you really only need a little bit of the hub to catch the bore on the wheel, or you can apply even force to the spokes on the wheels to get them to center on the hub.

Studs are also stronger and less likely to break.
