Auto Club Speedway, May 15th & 16th

I know this may look ridiculous next to the $99 a day at Buttonwillow, but... 1. Auto Club Speedway is a world class facility 2. The big track with the roval is very expensive to rent 3. BMW CCA provides world class in-car and in class instruction 2 day Driving School is $550, Saturday Car Control Clinic plus Sunday driving school is $450, and car control clinic only is $135. |

Just a little further down, NCRC is doing @ss-on-willow for $99.
I've heard good things about NCRC too, but obviously have preferences for BMW CCA. |

I will be there on Saturday attending the Driver's School and teaching the Tire Rack Street Survival School on Sunday.

Damn good weekend!!!
I just can't understand why more people don't do it. The C/D class was tiny Sat and a little bigger on Sunday. We had good runs after the Subaru was taken off the track Sat.

Was there Sunday - had signed up the granddaughter for the Street Survival course. She had a great time - and got to spin her mother's Toyota. I highly recommend this class for budding teenage drivers. Especially at a mere $75 bucks.
Thanks to Ron for letting me ride shotgun in his M3 for fast laps on the main track. Enjoyed myself immensely.

my street survival teen slayed it! He told me he wanted to spend time on the skid pad. He showed up with his A game and put on a drifting clinic. Look at that rad angle!
Props to all the parents for getting their children in this program. Lots of kids said that this event "should be part of getting your CA drivers license". |

I was there Saturday running in the Driver's School with the A group. LOTS of fun. There were a bunch of people who don't usually attend LA Chapter events and who were freakin' fast!!!
I tried some new in car camera technology on Saturday and was really pleased. See the video here . You will never believe how inexpensive this was! It's good to hear about the positive experiences with the TRSS on Sunday. I was the classroom lead and it was nice meeting all of your kids. They seemed like a good group. Please spread the word to other parents with teen drivers!

I loved the airbag demo and how he talked about how people like to put their feet up on the dash in the passenger seat.

That was me. Thanks for the feedback! Based on the evaluations the grown-ups enjoyed it more than the kids did. Imagine???

Nice job in the classroom. We were in the garage on the other side, so heard most of what you said.
