Do not buy from Grease Monkey

For sale thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=368608

Item: 19" Linea Corse Lemans + tires

I sent him payment on April 2nd and have yet to receive a tracking number or the wheels. He has given me a bunch of excuses as to why it hasn't shipped yet. Took him an entire week to find boxes, then he dropped it off at his work but they never shipped it and he was out of town blah blah blah. Basically three weeks have gone by and I have not seen anything.

He hasn't replied to my emails since Tuesday of this week so I opened up a dispute on paypal. I know that won't get anywhere so I will call my CC company to issue a chargeback when I come back from lunch. I have given him plenty of chances to ship the items or to refund me and he has done neither. Sorry if this is a little long, just trying to give people a heads up. I don't know if he is a scammer or purely incompetent at shipping but I don't have my stuff and he has stopped contact with me so you be the judge.

*Update* Just got an email from him:
"Your wheels were sent, for some reason I just got all of your emails all at once, but since you filled a complaint already I'll call UPS and have them returned to me. Once I confirm they won't be delivered to you, I'll refund you."

I still don't understand why he didn't send me the tracking numbers after I asked him at least 5 times. I told him just send me the tracking numbers now for proof and I will not do a chargeback and we can carry on with our lives (if the wheels are good).

*Update 2*
Says he will send me the tracking number once he gets to work. Hopefully I will actually get the wheels..

Gave him all day to come up with a tracking number and still haven't received a reply. I just called my CC company and they will be taking care of it.

The guy's email is preludeboy143@gmail.com and the paypal account was under darlingme3@hotmail.com (name Anita Avila). Beware!

Hopefully you used a credit card to make the payment. Paypal has been known for not giving your money back unless you bought something through ebay, which is what this guy was probably hoping for.

It has happened before to a few of my friends that used to buy and sell a lot of sneakers. Also read that in one of the threads in this forum a few days ago but I can't find it.

Here's the thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=367204

The post in question: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...43&postcount=6

Granted this is a claim for a damaged item but I have personally seen paypal not giving a crap since the item was not sold through ebay. I have seen instances where they did refund the money but maybe because there was overwhelming evidence the guy was a crook.

Hopefully you get your money back lateforwork, I skipped paypal and went straight for the chargeback with my CC company.
