HPFP...how long do I have?
I got myself a long crank (like 5 seconds) several months ago, then another one (like 10 seconds) about a week ago. Both events recorded a 2FBF code.
I know this means the HPFP is having issues but the long crank is NOT reproducable (2x in a year) and every other time the car runs great. I've also been reading here that the dealer won't help with only two events stored, especially if you can't show them a long crank. Is there any guess how long this will go until I get a limp mode? Or is this just another situation where it's anyone's guess?

I would just take it in to the dealer, why wait or guess on how long you have... If the codes are being recorded, then the dealership has no reason to not replace the HPFP and update your software. It's like playing russian roulette, its going to happen, but do you really want to be left stranded or driving around in limp mode when it happens?

Take it in, they should be able to do it in a few hrs as long as they have the part.

Take it in -- the codes are all you need for proof. They will update the s/w, run tests, and probably replace the pump. It may take a couple days, due to the new procedures they have to follow.

the new HPFP ending in 943 and the software update should fix your issue.

So I made an appointment and in the meantime I racked up 8 more 2FBF event codes (!!!). They replaced the HPFP with the 943 version.

My car had 2 long cranks in the morning before the hpfp failed completely on the same day.

I have been wondering the same thing as the OP. I know it's anybody's guess as to how long before HPFP failure once symptoms start. But I've had 1 long (~2 seconds) and 1 really long (~3-4 seconds) crank. I haven't gotten a SES light yet though. And for that reason, when I brought it in to the dealer, my SA told me they couldn't do anything for me because no codes were stored and no SES light. Frustrating!
