What do you do for maintenance after a full detail?
I just detailed my car and I am amazed at the results I got. I still need to wax it. I used 2 coats of Jet Seal and want to give it 24 hours to fully cure before waxing. I won't be able to get to that until Tuesday.
What do you do for maintenance between full details?

Inbetween major details - you are saying wash the car, apply quick detailer (why?), and wax the car? How often? Do you strip the existing sealant/wax first? clay? |

what other maintainence are you thinking you need other than the occasional wash/dusting? I could see you reapplying the wax/sealant after the existing is stripped from all the washing, but other than that, I wouldn't think there is anything else you would need to do in between full details.

week 1: full detail including polish week 2: wash and qd week 3: wash and wax week 4: wash and qd etc. you use a qd to bring back a little shine to the paint. a qd contains synthetic chemicals that aid in adding shine. a wax is natural and qd are usually synthetic. a qd is also a safer way of getting rid of bird droppings waterspots and the like. i never strip an existing layer of protection unless im doing a full detail. read this detailing guide if you need more information

I wash (either standard wash or ONR depending on how dirty it is) weekly and usually QD after every wash. I'll wax monthly or as necessary depending on the wax (I like to switch it up and try different things often). I'll only strip protection when re-applying sealant or doing an all-out detail with clay/polish.

After a full detail I try to use QD after every wash. It takes care of any water spots/streaks and gives the paint a nice uniform look. I also dust off all the pollen when I get home from work with a California Car Duster. I then reapply wax every 3rd or 4th wash!

As eric pointed out, the DI link is as complete as you're going to get for complete detailing steps. With regard to maintenance between full details I agree with the others up to this point i.e.: wash at least weekly followed by a quick detail spray to maintain gloss. If you're LSP lasts a month reapply every 3rd wash. If your LSP last 2 to 4 months reapply every 1.5 to 3.5 months etc.
I wash at least weekly and like to insure there is a good layer of wax or sealant on the paint at all times. In my experience I have found the LSP lasts longer with frequent washings. Others have opined that is not the case though. I like a clean shiny car all the time. I think dirt and environmental fallout sitting on the paint for extended periods of time do more to reduce the LSP layer than washing.
