You'll get your card with the silver BMW booklet. I just received mine last week through the mail but picked up my card in mid Sept.

I got my "owner's kit" a few weeks after picking up my car; and I'm in the states, so it's obviously not a Canadian thing. The kit includes:

- The BMW Guide (little booklet overviewing all aspects of BMW)
- Passion for Performance DVD
- BMW Roadside Assistance card (tossed in my leather owner's manual case in the trunk, and have basically forgotten about)
- BMW Owner's Circle card (not sure what this is for... has my VIN and nothing more; basically a waste of plastic)

I don't think you need a any card. All your vehicle information is stored in the key fob.
