Springs installed and finally some pics!

I finally got my springs installed, thanks to Mach III in San Francisco, and it turned out that Thursday (Thanksgiving) had some great weather here, so I took the car to Treasure Island where we had our recent meet and snapped some photos:

I didn't realize how dirty my car was

The lighting wasn't that great since it was sunset. I was hoping to snap the shots just after the sun set, but I had a thanksgiving dinner to go to.

I was also afraid that the springs were going to be too low, since on the box, the specs were 30mm rear and 60mm front drop, which translates to around 1.25" rear and 2" front drop. Normally, this wouldn't be too bad, but I live in San Francisco, and so I was afraid of scraping, but as far as I can see, the drop isn't that low at all. Just about perfect...could've even dropped a bit more.

I was at the same parking lot where we had the meet last time, and as I was snapping away, an alpine white X3 pulls up to the same lot, and a group of people got out and started snapping some scenic shots. As I was taking photos, I noticed one of the people from from the group started walking towards me, and comes up right next to me. As I look up, I realize it's LWL! and Ben. They were there with friends taking some photos of the city skyline....along with their new X3!

It was great seeing you guys again!

Yeah, just realized after taking another look at the photos. Still learning all the tricks of photoshop!

They are 19x8.5ET40 in the front, and 19x9.5ET45 in the rear. I still need to get some 15mm spacers installed in the rear.

Looks great! I have the exact same setup on order (19" staggered CSLs with Kumho Ecsta SPT tires), should get them in the next week or so. Any impressions on the grip/ride quality from the tires? Also, what size tire did you go with in the rear?

i changed them out with the the stock 16"s, so obviously the car felt a bit slower accelerating due to the larger diameter and width, but the grip is excellent. The ride quality is firmer due to the low profile, but definitely got that sporty feel. The size I got is 235/35/19 and 265/30/19.

Nice drop. Be honest with you that CSL wheel type is always one of the best looking one. However, it's kinda off on 325 stock brakes since the brake rotors are so small.

Perfect height. I've hated the pics with guys that lower their cars so much that a quarter of the rear tires are hidden in the well.

Much better! Now get some spacers for the rear and bring those wheels a little closer to the fender.

Cool, thanks... I ordered the exact same size tires. I'm going from 17" 161s from the 325 sport package to the 19" CSLs, not sure how much of a difference there will be. Also ordered 15mm spacers from Rogue Engineering last night so I'll be all set... for spring when I can take my winters off!
