Wow, that looks nice. My initial impression of the TTRS was a bit 'too fast too furious' styling but yours looks good. Think it was the roadster I'd seen which made the rear spoiler look really over the top.

My E46, even though is in brilliant condition, could do with a little tlc to bring it back to it's best again. Two problems 1) I can't be arsed doing it and 2) seems daft to spend too much on it given the cars actual value. Next time the valet man comes to work I'm going to ask him to give it a proper going over, inside and out, to polish out the worst of it and see what's left.

Andrew asked me to detail his Audi RSTT, he's just bought the car at 6 months old and 10,500 miles on the clock but paintwork like a car 2 or 3 years old, it had been seriously neglected by it's previous owner so needed full correction and some paint in places to correct stone chips and scuffs.

Being white it looks beautiful at a distance but closer inspection revealed some serious swirling, various in depth scratches to bodywork and light lenses.

So on with the detail.

Snowfoamed with Chemical Guys Citrus Snow Foam.
Washed, 2 bucket method, Lambswool mitt and CG's Maxi Suds 2 shampoo.

Wheels with Redberry Wheel Cleaner and various brushes.

Being white, photographing defects was very difficult, but here's a few.

Correction involded 8 or 9 areas needing wetsanding prior to machine correction to remove the more serious defects.
Paint depth readings showing a healthy average of 135um across the car and around 45um to work with to correct defects.

Onto Machine correction, paintwork corrected with 3M FCP 50417 and a 3M cutting Pad, refined and finished with 3M Ultrafina 50383/Extrafine 80349 Blend on a Meg's finishing pad.

Light lenses corrected by wet sanding serious defects and machine polished with 80349 on a 4 inch cutting pad, finished down with 50383 on a 4 inch spot finishing pad

Full wipedown/cleanse after polishing with Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite before application of 2 layers of Dodo Juice Diamond White Hard Wax.
Trims and tyres, CG's New Look Trim Gel applied and buffed to a natural finish.
Wheels, CG's Wheel Gaurd.

Some Pictures of the finished car. How the dealership should have presented it to Andrew.
Enjoy...

thanks for the comments guys, and Helen

Ive got to admit that you guys and Helen, are so much friendlier than the Audi forums..

It would seam that on the TT forums, that if you own an RS they tend to ignore you lol

And there's sometimes friction between the MK1 and MN2 TT owners too..

You want to try the A6 forum, nothing going on at all!!

Been about 6 threads in the last 2 months!!

http://forums.fourtitude.com/zeroforum?days=all&id=572

Seriously the E60 5 series forum was great, E46fanatics was great, e90post was great, babybmw.net was great, but Audi??? Unless you drive an A4 you can forget it, nothing going on at all, and when there is they just try and get one over on each other all the time.
