X3 going back getting another e90

Well my lease is up on our car (me and wife) next month so I am getting an e90 again. The X3 was awesome and most people who say its not a nice SAV or anything negative about it have not driven the Sports Package with a Manual transmission. My wife drover over 40,000 miles in 2 years and loved the manual transmission. This is her 3rd car with stick (2nd BMW) and she loved the driving, handling and sterring feel of the X3 which I did also. The lease BLOWS on the X3 this time around so we are getting an e90 again (I had a 330i 2006 lease was up last May and loved the car) an I am looking forward to it. We will both miss the versatility of the X3 and the huge amount of storage space compared to the e90. I would have liked to get a 335i but it was not in the budget this time around. I made a LOT less money last year selling BMW's than in previous years past.

The car is equipped as follows
2010 328i Sedan
Alpine White (would you expect anything else all 3 BMWs I have had are AW)
Black Leather
6 speed manual (the only way my wife would drive the car and same for me)
Premium Package
Value Package
Cold Weather Package
Sport Package
Navigation
The car also has the black BMW accesory grills and BMW Carbon Fiber rear spoiler

If I built the car I would have made 2 changes. I would have went with ALuminum trim instead of dark wood and I would have added Sat Radio.
For locating a car im amazed how close it is to what my ideal car would be espicially being a stick. I will try to post pics of the grill and CF rear spoiler soon. I am picking it up Wedensday (I found it in PA) and driving it back to the dealership and we will take the car before the end of the month. Im looking forwars to the new Idrive and getting back to RWD Sport package with a stick. See you all around.

You can add sat. radio at your dealer for a round 800-900 bucks. Congrats!

I know I am a saleperson. Actually right now you cant add it because the new parts required with the XM merger are still not available. I have customer waiting 6 months plus for this.

Lease program sux compared to sedan plus my wife only drives a stick and there are not many sticks if any at all. I was not even going to get a BMW this time because I wanted something much cheaper but the let me use the $1500 loyalty rebate, the $2500 sping cash rebate and the .00050 rate reduction along with my employess cash on the lease. Basically I am getting 4000 in rebates, .5% rate reduction and the car for $2700 behind invoice. I am paying 1600 total out of pocket, 15,000 miles per year, for $371 including all taxes and fees. The price also includes the CF spoiler and Black grills also. I was looking to get a cheap car for about 325 a month this time around ut 371 including maintainence and driving a fully loaded 3 series for $50 more a month was too good to turn down. There was also not a wagon ot there is RWD and a sport package. RWD and a sport package drives very very different compared to an AWD car. In the X3 and X5 I can see Xdrive but on the cars its not for me. I like to enjoy the car 99 out of 100 days when it does not snow. My wife works from home when it snows anyway so the car will just sit in the driveway and Ill drive the GTI in the snow to get to work.

gee, that's pretty loaded. difference between 335 and 328 couldn't have been that much given all the options this one has...

Stock Audio on 2010's suck if you care about audio

There are a lot of people who are very upset with it and plenty of threads covering it . I thought you might like a heads up on that . There are less speakers and way less power.

If I loaded the 335i sedan the same way it was about 75 more per month. I was trying to get something closer to 300 this time around but for 371 on a fully loaded 328i In white it was impossible to turn down. I would have liked a 335i but I am trying to save some money because my son is 4 and I would like to have him go to a great school. Every penny counts.

Good luck with your new 328, Ryan! Your X3 was definitely one of the nicest ones I've ever seen, your colors/options were perfect. Even though I really loved my old X3, I had no problem switiching to my 328xi, sometimes I miss the room, but that's about all, and not a big deal.

Thanks I am sure I will like the car. My wife will be doing most of the driving because she tajes my son to day care in the morning. I know she is going to miss the X3. She loved it and loved Alpine White with Tobacco Brown. I am looking forward for a RWD Sport package car again. I will let you know when we have our event for the new 5 series so you can come by.

I did the exact thing! I too work at a dealer. I went for a E90 335xi M Sport. I've had a binch of X3's and loved them, but they are much this time around so I went for the 335.
A JB3 is coming soon as well as a few other toys. Pics to follow...
Good luck with yours!

Sadly, leasing an E91 would cost almost as much as a 335i sedan. The faster depreciation on a Touring really costs when you lease.

The base suspension on the E91 is more taut than a E90 though, so the lack of a ZSP might not be as noticeable (nor will the ride quality be as pleasant as a sedan, for that matter).

With a little practice, she could probably learn how to drive an AT.
