Wiper blade cleaning

I did a search, but couldn't find one on this.

You know how the passenger blade will come over into the driver's field of view, then leave that line? How do you clean the blade to stop that? I don't want to ruin the blade insert with anything too harsh, but that line drives me freaking out of my mind !!! I've wiped the blade real well, to the point a bunch of road grime fell onto the hood, but the line comes back. I've never put anything on the blade itself, use Stoners and sometimes Rain-X on the glass.

I would try alcohol too. It may dry out the rubber, but i believe the wiper blades are covered under warranty, or at least my SA gives them to me. so give it a shot.

That line is from the stuff you put on your window. I used to use them all the time but after getting that smudge line, I've opted out of them.

I Rain-X the window and the wiper leaves a line of scraped-off Rain-X there. Quite annoying.

It's become more prominent lately, I hink because the car sits by the snackbar 5-6 days a week, with wind blowing potentially infield AND grease onto it. Then once the blades move over that junk, it draws the line.
The blades are covered until 4/50 and I can get more since I got extended, but I want to try cleaning them first. I'll give the iso a try.
