CDRW no disc
Does someone know if it is possible to play a cdRW in a bmw Z4?
I have the business navigation with cd changer but i cannot manage to play cdrw's. Is it too difficult for the changer because the cd's are not "closed"? I tried lowering (4X) burning speed, other brands (TDK) but nothing works. CDR plays well. Thanks in advance |

CD-Rs appear to work fine. The CD-RW technology uses a different "ink" density. Results may vary by brand of media used.
My guess: CDRs yes, CDRW no. Good luck! RC. |

I've never tried to use a CDRW in the changer or the dash (both of which don't play mp3s fwiw), but they work with regular CDRs just fine.

sounds like the cd just has to be finalized for it to be played. which technically would mean you wouldnt be able to add more songs to that cd in the future.
or it could mean that it must be an audio created cd rather than data (mp3). if thats the case, a cd-rw should also work |

FWIW,
My 06 Z4M plays CDRW's burnt full of MP3's and WMA files just fine. I believe i had to close the disc when i burned it but otherwise it was no different then burning a CDR full of MP3's as usual. Regards |
