Edit; yes I had iv sedation and I even woke up a couple of times. Then I got home and drank 3 pints of Guinness. LOL. Shes not on Vics. She just got off an IV drip of the yummy shit. If you have a good doc and a good anastesiologist, you are fuckeeddddddd up after. Also, shes still got the cotton in her mouth so shes probably within a half hour of post op.
After having 4 wisdom teeth (gas + IV), and waking up, I proceeded to explain what I wanted to do to the nurse (sexually, and explicitly of course) while my mother was sitting in the room. Then I got up to find my mother, and fell on my ass. Plus side, I went in the the pharmacy with the bloody gauze hanging out of my mouth shoving the vic script in the pharmacists face. Needless to say, that shit was filled before they even finished pulling my shit up in the computer. |

But they were impacted so they had to basically chissel them out of my mandible and pull them out little piece by little piece. One nurse sat there holding my head while the doctor bashed my shit with a hammer and chisel. I had the option, insurance was paying, and I chose to pass out. |

Mine were in bad shape as well. I had to be given additional anesthetic and gas to keep me asleep (the equivilant to someone twice my size). I was out for almost 2 days. Didn't leave the house for 2 more.

Mine were no issue. My top two never came in and my bottom two were to far back to brush so they were removed with just a couple of shots. Took a few ibruprofen and that was that. I did do like the previous poster though and went in to Walgreens with bloody gauze all over in my mouth and they had me in and out in a few minutes.
My buddy on the other hand had all 4 removed and all 4 got dry sockets. He went through his bottle of vicodin, mine, and got one more. ________ how to roll a blunt Last edited by stimpy; 02-04-2011 at 06:27 AM.. |

Same here. I kept waking up and they would have to give me more juice. I was out of commission for a week easily. I didn't have my license yet so when my mom drove me home. She said I was asking for a gun to shoot myself. A girl that I work with had 2 black eyes for a week. It's amazing how some people are barely phased while others are destroyed.

I had a black eye from mine. One of mine was imbedded in my sinus cavity and that's what caused it. Everyone thought I got in a fight. My sockets didn't stop bleeding for a month. |

I had surgery on my two teeth that were below gumline impacted with no IV, and just a lil gas. All he gave me were novacaine shots and thats it. I didnt even get Vic, just advil. Was in pain for a long while, good thing I had Benzo's!

Just novacaine for 3, 2 impacted. If they'd given me some headphones so I didn't hear them breaking the teeth, that might have helped. I think I had Presidente for the pain afterwards. I'm diabetic, so the whole "don't eat from midnight until noon + the next day" bugs me, and I usully opt for just novacaine.
The last time I was in, dentist kept putting the damn novacaine thru the back of my mouth into my ear, I swear!!! To play it up to him he'd ask a question and I'd reply "WHAT?" |
