Simple Green?

Hi. I have a gallon of Simple Green in the garage and was curious what applications would I use it for on my car. Engine? Wheelwells? Wheels? And in what strength? Thanks.

Wouldn't use it on the wheels, get some actual wheel cleaner for that. I use Simple Green for wheel wells and engine bay though.

+1...I would use on the tires also and on the exhaust tips

I keep a spray bottle of 4:1 water to SG and use it like jopa suggested i.e. tire sidewalls, wheel wells and engine. I had a neighbor move out and he gave me a full, unopened gallon of SG and I'm about 2/3 through it without any issues with the above applications.

My personal favorite is the Megiuars APC though.

One caution with Simple Green - it will damage aluminum if not washed off promptly.

Why not on wheels? Mine have PoorBoysWW and I use the SG diluted to wash the rims with a sponge and scrub the tires. I wash and rinse, no leaving it on there.

Which Simple Green? They make it in a couple of formulations, some 'safer' than others for automobile cleaning (especially aluminimum)
