This is great news for enthusiasts but it's probably a very long way off.

Looking forward to seeing what they can do with it.
I had GIAC stuff in all my Audi's and VW's and loved Garrets work.

2 VW's and 3 Audis.........
I won't even begin to discuss GIAC, Revo and APR........
It's a huge bag of worms and not worth tackling.

Numbers fool ? Didn't fool me when my GTI 2.0T with GIAC software and turbo back exhaust would take a modded v8 S4 by a few lengths, from a roll ...... ( it was Revo'd and Full back Milltek)

It's all opinion and preference.

I'll see what they work up and then make a decision.

They said they were working on stuff for the 325i and 330i, but obviously those haven't materialized.

I WASNT ATTACKING THEIR NUMBERS ON THE 2.0T. Chillax homie!!!!!

ur right the whole chip debate is bull, but i was complimenting on GIAC on making hp safely, even if it isnt the most (which is all debateable), it usually done in a responsible fashion. Im a fan of their tuning, even though i have Revo on my car.............. we can get along cant we?

also this reaction is a completely understandable one to all of the chip talk that vag owners have to take, BMW owners take note!

EDIT

my note on the numbers fool, is to see the numbers the GIAC 335i will put done before a decide anything. im also not gonna, chip/tune whatevs, until about a year from now, i want everything down on the table AND DO NOT WANT TO BE THE FIRST TO DO IT

Yeah, I guess I'm just impatient. I see all this wonderful stuff for the E46 on vendor websites, then click on E90 to choose from a variety of generic items like microfiber towels, license plate frames, car wax, and oil caps.

Hemi to e90,

"Numbers Fool" just sounded as though you were saying that GIAC's numbers are bigger than what you really get.

I totally agree about being the software guinea pig.

I'm going to get to some other mods before the tune.

Either way, we'll see what others like GIAC, Technic and ESS do with this car.

" Can't we all get along ? "..... you know it bro.

2006 presented VF-Engineering with a series of growing pains. Simply put, we tried to accomplish too much and got held by a series of R&D delays.

2007 should prove to be rather different, as we've trimmed down our R&D plans and intend to focus on specific projects that will likely yield better ROI and help us work towards being early to market when it comes to significant models such as the 335i.

We've only recently just finished our E46 M3 s/c kits and that means we'll now be focusing on the N54. GIAC already has their in-house demo and it won't be long till we have our Stage 1 kit (GIAC software and CAI) available. Stage 2 big-turbo R&D will take place at the same time, so 2007 should prove to be a big year for VF-Engineering and the N54 engine

What about the E90 N52? The E90 325i/330i and more recent 328i will have no forced induction options?

Great to hear Brad.
I spoke with the guys at GIAC and I knew they had thier 335 already.
But, they told me they weren't going to start testing with it until the spring.

I'd love to see what they come up with, as I said before, I have loved all the tuning I had of theirs for my VW/Audi cars.

The whole aftermarket will be dead for the 325 and 330. What company in the right mind will develope a product for a series that what out for 1 year. No one.

I believe those models are still available in certain countries other than the U.S.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the N52 engine can handle the stress that forced induction puts on the engine since the engine uses both aluminum and magnesium. N54 didn't use magnesium because of that. I read that from somewhere, but I might be wrong.
