Please help me decide between these 2 black on coral by TOMORROW
My last bmw was a e46 LSB on Cinnamon and i am ready to go e92 Currently I am looking at 2 vehicles for sale and was wondering everyones opinion on them. These are relatively closely priced.
First: 2007 335i 29,000 miles Black on Coral auto premium sport q logic 7 has been in accident appears to have been slight, nothing had to be replaced just repainted (maybe i can call bmw and run vin) Carfax just says involved in collision nothing about moderate crash or had to be towed. crash was in early 2008 Second 38,000 miles 2007 328xi Black on Coral auto premium navigation Which would be the better buy? How much more maintenence does the 335i turbo motor require? Reliability? |

If they're close in price, I think you're getting more for your money with the 335. The question becomes reliability. Provided it hasn't had any HPFP issues, you should be ok. 38k miles on the 328 is pretty high for a car barely over 2 years old

The 328xi was purchased what 1/07 so it a little over 3 years but i do see what your saying. I would have warranty for 1 more year on both of the cars. Til Jan on the 328xi and til March on the 335i

335 if you had to choose, but the fact that it was in accident would be a turn off for me

Definitely don't rush into buying anything, let alone a BMW. Wait and find the right one, even if it takes a little longer.

yeah, keep looking, broaden your location search and rent a car if you have to. settling for the 328 when you could have the 335 is a crime

The car is running in a highline auction tomorrow put on by bmw financial. They are very good about inspecting the cars before auction and have to disclose and damage found. There are upwards of 160 3 series running but these were the only 2 i saw that struck my eye, i really like the coral interior. Ive bought this way for my last 4 vehicles. The fact that it was in a collision is disclosed in the auction listing and will make it go for much less is why it interest me.

Sounds like there's pretty full disclosure at this auction, which is good. If you're comfortable with knowing the 335 was in an accident, then it's the obvious choice. But I find it hard to believe nothing had to be replaced and Carfax found out about it. It seems unlikely the damage was so minor that it didn't even require a new bumper.
