It might not be a stain.. it's possible that there was some sort of chemical reaction that change the color of the seat or completely ripped off the color... Just a guess though..

leatherette is tricky. my old 328i had leatherette. one time i came out of the ocean and sat in my seat in 100 degree cali wheather. i wasn't wet, just maybe moist, but it stained the shit out of the leatherette. be careful.

try nail polish remover or brake clean. But only use a small amount.

you deserve it for treating your car badly.

anywho, try AMODEX STAIN REMOVER or http://www.spinneybeck.com/Shop/Prod...t.aspx?type=MK

Try to contact BMW first for Ideas.

I'd try a paste of water and baking soda first and gently rub. Try a sample first somewhere else.

This could pull some of the oil out IF that is what his causing the discolor.

If it is a chemical reaction find out what it is that is causing it. Was it the acid from a citrus ingrediant?

Maybe Patience should be applied. Once clean give it time for perhaps the active ingrediant to wear off and maybe the color will return to normal.

Make a few calls to who made the noodles and what they used, and to BMW.

i doubt the color is ripped off the seat as i can still see black under the green.

i can only see the 'green' under the sun or with a bright flashlight, under not so bright lights, the green is not really visible.

ive tried mr clean magic eraser earlier today, and it was no use.

what can clean acid?

does anyone know if dishwasher soap will work? because ive tried dishwaher soap on the plastic container the noodles came with and the yellow stains seem to come off, not totally, but somewhat.

if i purchase a vinyl cleaner, will it do the job?

edit: will an interior detailer be able to fix this? my car is due for an interior clean anyways.

Don't use harsh chemical like brake fluid, it may do more harm than good, you don't want to risk ruining your seat, try this, believe it or not, left it under direct sunlight, it will get rid of the stain.

Hi,

If those were Sing-chow noodles, what you have is a turmeric stain (that's the spice that gives it it's color). Turmeric is difficult to remove and you must act on it right away or it becomes permanent.

Do a search on "how to remove turmeric stains" and you will get several hits with useful information. Here's one, as an example: http://www.ehow.com/how_5132224_remo...ic-stains.html

Good luck, you've got a tough one there!

Regards,
Adnan

DO NOT use nail polish remover; it may melt the vinyl.

Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. I know it's not leather, but try it. that stuff is fantastic.

Whatever you want to try , I suggest first trying it on a smaller inconspicuous area to see how it affects your letherette first.
