Freak Weather
Sincerely hope everyone in WA and over in the East specifically Queenslander are doing ok.
I was almost certain I was going to get struck by lighting while walking to my car that was 20m away. All 3 strikes were very close. In half an hour of rainfall, the roads were flooded. Reasonably large chunk of tree branch fell everywhere. Perth Metro was in bad shape judging by the number of cars hit by hail.

We aren’t too bad in sunny Queensland with not a lot of serious damage although there are a few damaged properties in Airlie beach and surrounds. Mostly minor storm type damage. (as you might guess I’m somewhat connected with events of this nature through where I work).
As for Perth – bloody hell – hope that no Ms got hammered by that hail ! |

I'd go and say hello if he wasn't a bit of a tosser........ The worst damage I saw today was at school where someone's E70 X5 looked like the surface of a golf ball. The family also have a C63 which was smashed with severe panel damage and a broken windscreen. The three month old C63 is apparently a write-off. The funniest thing I saw today was also at school when a Landcruiser turned up complete with forrest! They must have been in a rush this morning because the car was still covered in shrapnel from the tree it was parked under!

Sad to see any cars hammered like that but the problem is with hail that severe is that paintless dent removal cant repair the damage – its often the case that the complete turrets of cars need to be amputated and a new one reattached. I'm not sure if that is BMWA approved ! Get ready for the hail auctions !

Yep. Saw a few golf ball cars today. Folks with no insurance are really going to kick themselves this time.
The dealerships with their entire inventory of cars in the open were raped hard by hail. (I think toyota was one of them ?) Smash repairs will be busy for at least the next few months. Anyone in need of repairs during that period will have to live with it. I've have to say I was rather worried about the ///M. The intake snorkel at the bottom is rather low and I was afraid that with the amount of rain pouring from above, the drainage for the upper intake vent might be overwhelmed. Needless to say even in such events, you still get douche bags driving pass you at mach 1 causing waves of Tsunamis charging up my intake snorkel. Big thanks to Power and traffic light management companies, etc. Those guys had to leave their own homes and work through the night to restore order.
