All windows and sunroof are opened

Hi,
I don't know if this topic was posted before. I pick up my car yesterday and my SA show me a cool feature to roll down all windows and open sunroof. My car is 2007 328XI Sedan. Here is how it works.

1. Press Unlock key once to open driver door
2. Press Unlock key again to open all doors
3. Then, hold down Unlock key for at least 15 seconds, you will see all your windows are rolling down and sunroof is opened. I don't know if this feature applies to 2006 model. Try it today

cnguyen004 try pressing the unlock button and holding it from the beginning... I can get everything to open by keeping it held down... I don't need to do it in steps the way you've shown. Your sales rep was probably breaking it down in steps to demonstrate unlocking your doors, then passengers, then everything else depending on how far you want to go.

If your intention is to get the windows down you can probably hold the unlock button down from the beginning.

I wish there was a way to disable this useless feature. I never roll down all my windows and open the roof. I’m afraid that someday I’ll accidentally hold down the button and open all the windows without knowing it from inside the house or somewhere.

LOL you just reminded me of something that happend to me on my e46. I was working at the bar, and it was winter and snowing so i kept opening the door to check up on my car. Well it was snowing really bad. Anyway i saw my car was getting covered so everything was all good. I parked right outside the door of the bar. Anyway one hour or so past and a customer goes in the bar. I ask for his ID and he says "no, their is a car out there with windows open. I'm like i don't know bro... He's like a BMW.." I opened the door and my windows were WIDE OPEN!!!... the first thing that came to mind was "someone broke into my car!!! But why would they break ALL my windows?? So i take the keys outside of my "tight as hell pants" and put it into the ignition and the windows close. I was sooo happy. What had happend is, while sitting in the stool one of the keys on my keychain pressed the unlock button and since i was sitting down it enable window's down... Man that was crazy. BTW my snow went inside the car a bit.. but i have leatherette so it was no big deal

About a year ago a member posted videos of the opening and closing features attached to Comfort Access. In the post there are also videos using the remote & using the key. Visit this thread if anyone is interested in seeing this in action using the remote, key or CA: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11942

it's nice for airing the car out on a hot, sunny day. We still have those in Phx.

Now, do you know how to close all the windows and sunroof at the same time. Hint, you can't do it with holding down the unlock button.

Put the key in the door lock and turn and hold. All will close.

Or use CA to close them all (and fold in the mirrors). But apparently not with the 07 model.

And add me to the chorus of "this is in the manual" and "my Accord did this, too."

You can also set it in idrive so that when you push the unlock once it unlocks all doors and not just driver.
