Hard water spots

well I have searched and I am puzzled as to what will work the best to remove hard water spots on my bimmer's glass

I have seen vinegar, steel wool and using clay bar being suggested. I was trying to come up with the best idea to remove the spots. I have already tried using the clay bar but to no avail.

I wanted to ask the experts

Vinegar. Worst case scenario, you can machine polish the glass with glass polish, but try vinegar first.
