newb cleaning rims
Hi All,
I know there's some post out there regarding cleaning rims. I just have a couple questions, I didn't find much regarding what I was looking for I figured the experts on here can help me with. FYI I have matte black rims, with chrome lip. I know you can use boars hair and synthetic brushes, does it leave marks or scratch the paint when you use those brushes? I've been using this blue microfiber wrapped sponge thing, you can get at Kragen, because im scared I might scratch the rims. Also after I cleaned the rims, it leaves small water droplet marks on the rims, even though i dry them off with a towel. Any way to get rid of these or a sealant to prevent this from appearing after I was the rims? My last question is I have a small crack in the front passenger rim, it still holds air, just bothers me to see that on the rim. Besides taking it to a professional, any techniques or solutions to this problem? Again thanks for looking into this...Any help is appreciated! |
