How long to program?
Just got a call from my dealer. I'm getting the alarm installed and was told that the install was done, but the programming is still running and might not finish today. How long can it possibly take to program the car?

it can take hours. It depends on the car and how fast the information is downloaded. The dealership is not playing games with you.

Well I guess I wont beat up the dealership too badly. I ended up picking up the car with the alarm system installed, but the software update not completed.... no way they were keeping it all weekend.

I had my 07 Sedan programed for alarm & only took 2 hrs.
They gave me a loaner thinking it should take 5-6 hrs. Called me less than 2 hrs. and said car is ready. I was shocked. |
