I know this is another one of those pointless threads but it's just my way to vent.

A friend of mine has an RSX-S and is very fond of it. I always drive on highway 9 (twisties) so I asked him to go run with me just for fun. Then he started boasting about his car and how it's "made for canyon driving".

So anyways I ran with him last week and left him so far behind all he saw was my taillights disappearing in the dark.

Then we did a few straight line runs. First he took off on me by a few car length but then I caught up and passed him (I guess it's cus mine's Steptronic :mad: ). After that he said "man I dont even know who won even though we ran hella times". I just smiled and nodded.

We were sitting in class yesterday and he started talking trash again. All of a sudden he's telling everyone sitting around us that he smoked me.

He really wants to do another straight line run but I refused since he wants to do it on the freeway. I refused cus I know there are cops there. The other runs were in a secluded place.

Anyhoo, I thought I shut him up after our canyon run last week but nooooo, he keeps yapping. I usually dont care but this guy just talks and talks and talks and it drives me freaking crazy. I just dont get how someone can talk so much trash after he's gotten beat so bad. If only theres a way to shut him up

or you can point out that you drive a BMW and he drives an Acura. Not hating on Acura cause I own a 03 TL type S, but comon its no Bimmer. Am I right?

haha he was talking trash last week and I told him "at the end of the day I still drive a bimmer and you drive an acura". He just shuts up after that.

Dont mind those RSX fanboys. They talk alot of shit. I love how they think that with I/H/E they can take Evos and STI's. I think the only way to shut him up is to get it on video how badly you beat him but i say dont waste your time. Even if you have proof, he'll still probably make up some excuse for losing.

Just take it to the track... Most cities have a drag strip with a "run what you brung" type race. Find one, and go. You're right -- don't race him on the street... I wouldn't.

my previous car was a RSX Type S. I don't consider it a girl car at all, and in some ways it is more sporty than my 330i (engine sound, gear box).

in a straight line, a 330i is definitely faster if you know how to drive a 6MT...

The steptronic isnt the problem, you know you can just slap it to the left and put it in a sport mode, right? You dont have to shift up or down.

Thing is that I know I can beat him. That's not the point though. I just dont wanna race on the streets cus of cops. Secondly I dont wanna hit anyone either. BUt this fool keeps talking soo much smack it pissed the shit out of me. Like others have suggested, I might just take it to a track and see. I still dont know if I wanna waste that much time and money racing someone I know I can beat...

Slap your step into sport mode.
Smoke him all the way.
