H&R or the eibachaalkjc;a pro springs

i'm getting breyton spirits 19" and i don't want to rub, but i still want the car to look good..which one is better?

oh and what are your opinions driving lowered cars..is it a hassle? will i feel every bump in the road? and do the pros outweigh the cons?

also..what offsets should i get for the front and rear with the springs on?

You would probably get better info in the suspension forum. I would probably go with the eibachs.

Make sure you also visit the wheels/tires forum and suspension forum.

With 19" wheels, you can go with either the Eibach ProKit or H&R Sports Springs. The race springs will also work, but due to its higher spring rate could be more bouncy unless you replace the stock shocks. If you ever decide to go with 20" wheels, you're asking for trouble with race springs.

The Eibach ProKit is ever so slightly higher and less firm than the H&R Sports.

I am running the H&R Race Springs and I have no rubbing. I can make full u-turns at full tilt without any problems. As long as your wheels have the correct offset, you will be fine. You will find that the E90 fenders are surprisingly roomy for aftermarket wheels. Your tire size will come into play also. Just to give you an idea, I am running 245/35 fronts and 275/30 rears on my 19's.

Hate to change the subject but can we see some pics? I really want to see a 335 sedan with some mods.

try it with 20's........

Here's longtran's car with H&R race springs, 20x9.5 et 25 rear wheels, 285 25 20 tires, and they rub a little. With et 30, they'd probably work.

what are your offsets for the front and rear?

nice to see new pics of the wheels! although i think gold only works on a few colors, the wheels themselves look really nice. looking fwd to seeing more info on them.

Yes, lowered cars can be a hassle if you get too aggressive on the setup. Based on your comments, it sounds like you just want a nice clean drop without sacrificing ride quality.

If that's the case, then as ksfrogman said, either Eibach Pro Kit or H&R Sports Springs are probably the best way to go. Those won't give you a big drop but they'll help fill in that open space in the wheel wells and the ride quality will still be good.

Drop it any lower than what those give and you really should think about replacing the stock shocks as well.

i had Eibach Pro-kits on my E90 and they were great. The ride was better than stock with the stock Runflats IMO.
I only had aftermarket 18's with them but the ride was fantastic. They are progressive so it helps, but they dont go as low as the H&R's.
I would recommend Eibach.

i got the H&R and fsd setup...i hope the ride isn't rough. and i hope i don't scrape over driveways and speed bumps. its only a like a 1 inch drop.so it wouldn't be that bad right?
