335i Heater Question
Hey all,
I wonder if you can have the heat turned on on the new 335i, without having the AC compressor work. I hate to have my performance affected by the AC compressor if that is the case...Had a nissan 300zx and a Mercedes before, and they both had that flaw... Thanks!

Although I don't have my bimmer yet, I haven't driven a German car that doesn't have the option to turn off the A/C compressor. I think I saw the button for it when I skimmed thru the e90 Manual.

yeah, you can do that. But really, turning on the A/C on a 300HP car won't have any noticible effect on the power. And it's not like the A/C compressor would work really hard when you are using heat.

I found the climate control doesnīt work well without the compressor. If itīs turned off, the fans at times run really hard to control moisture (which is of course pretty difficult without the compressor). |

A/C compressors take so little power its laughable. I forget where I saw it but someone did a dyno with it on and off and I think they lost like .8 HP or something stupid like that.
