Crazy modding DAY!!!!!! (pics)

Well today was a big day for the E90. She first got a BMW roof rack from the dealer that I slapped on. I had to make custom mounts for the old style Thule fairing that I had to fit on the new aero bars that they come with now.

Then I brought the car in the garage and put on the Thule Atlantis 1600 box I got for skiing this winter. I didn't like the looks of the BMW one, I thought this one looked better.

I know it looks kinda goofy right now slammed with 19's and a roof box but I ran outta time before I could put the snow tires on. Next up where my headrest screens to match my prior stereo/DVD/Navigation install. I mounted 7" Alpine TMEM770 touch screen monitors in the factory headests. Taking a razor to them was nerve-racking but def. worth it. Thanks to my buddy Shawn for his amazing skills.

Here is wiring them up...

And the finished product...

Now I am all set for some crazy ski trips and road trips this winter!!!

That car looks great! It'd be super cozy for long trips, I'm sure.

With true snow tires it is amazing. What you need to remember is once you are moving on the road two wheels drive and awd are very similar, it is all about the DSC at that point.

So have you driven in any serious snow, or just light snow?
