Interior lighting question

I was looking at this thread

and the guy said he was using 37mm festoon bulbs everywhere in the interior, door lights, legroom lights, dome lights, and visor lights. When I looked at mine there are only 37mm bulbs used in the linces plate. The trunk light uses 42mm so as visor lights.

Now I am confused, is it because his car might be newer or whats up?

He doesn't respond, and the question is like general knowledge it just that I used his mod a an example Doch

You can bend the metal contact a little bit (be careful not to damage it) to fit the 37mm LED bulb
