GC coilover & Alufelgen CSL

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the GC street coilovers, Bilstein, & BMW Performance susp w/ the 19" Alufelgen CSL on an e92. I wanted to go with 8.5" in the front and a 9.5" on the back.

Will these set-ups run into rubbing issues?

I have read many of the other threads on suspension, including swapping out springs Eibach & H/R... or even getting combinations with Konis, K1's etc..but more or less come across someone mentioning "clunking."

Which of these suspensions will give a stock ride comfort, but with flatter performance handling (less body roll mostly). Preferably on 19".. zsp will need to drop some, but I don't want them tucked at all as Houston streets are crap.

Thanks for your thoughts!

You won't run into any rubbing issues as long as you get the right tire sizes and offsets for your wheels.

19x8.5 ET35-40
19x9.5 ET30-33
235/35/19 and 265/30/19
Seen 275/30/19 with slight fender roll

As for the suspension, go with Koni FSDs with either Eibach Prokits or H&R sports. This will provide the stock ride comfort you're looking for with vastly improved handling. Koni FSDs utilize frequency selective dampening, translated into layman's terms this means its comfortable during normal driving and it automatically firms up when you hit the corners.

OP,

I would recommend 235/35/19 for the front 19x8.5ET + 35 and 265/30/19 for the rear 19x9.5ET + 35. You`ll get enough coverage with no rubbing issues.

I believe fotios335i has ran the BMW Performance suspension with our 19" wheels so he could answer more specific questions about that setup. Another setup to consider is the Koni FSDs with Eibach Prokits. It is a very good setup and provides nearly OE comfort.

Please feel free to PM us if you have any more questions,

Matt

+ 1, but I think you could prob even get away with a 30et rear unless you really slam it....then you'd prob wanna roll your rear fenders
