October 2006 3 Series Sales Report
My apologies for being late with the sales reports this month. I have been traveling in the U.K. for the past two weeks.
This month BMW sold 9,503 units of the 3 Series which was down 11.3% from the sales total of last October, 2005. However, YTD sales for the 10 months of 2006 are up 12.6% when compared to the same period of 2005. BMW NA indicates that the decline is primarily due to dealer inventory issues as a function of the model changeover to the 328 and 335 series. Mercedes-Benz sold only 3,784 units of the C Class units this month, down 18.2% from the 4,625 units sold last October. YTD sales for the C Class were down 11.8% for the first 10 months of 2006. Lexus sold 3,464 IS250/350 units in October. Please note that I am report only the United States sales data.
