Car Wash in NW 'burbs & Dirty v. Car Wash

Can anyone recommend a good car wash in the NW suburbs (I work in Schaumburg)? I have had bad experiences with car washes and am scared of them... But, since I live in an apartment building, I don't have much of a choice.

I tend to let my car get dirty (especially in the winter) because I think dirt is less dangerous to the paint than a shitty car wash. Does anyone have points for or against that argument?

Thanks!
Jake

Delta Sonic is great if you're close to one (the one in Palatine on Dundee Rd just west of 53 may be too far but if you're in the area...)
