Newbie - M3 Edition

Hey people,

Been lurking around a while thought I'd jump in at last. Seems like a good bunch and a good knowledge pool for M3's

I owned an E46 M3 vert for 3 years then took delivery of my E92 Edition end on November and loving every minute.

Glad to be here, thanks

You might want to check out the main UK e90post section as well (if you haven't already) - plenty going on there too!

Thanks M3-fast,

Dont think ive actually got any pics handy of the interior but i'll get some taken.

Its manual, I do like flappy paddles for 'driving' but personally I couldnt live with it day to day, although that wasnt my main reason I do prefer manual. She's got EDC as well.

Love the car really do, only covered 1700 miles so far so we're still getting to know eachother lol

lovely motor mate, you've helped me convince me to keep my mirrors as they are. Wouldn't mind a few more pics of the wheels in sunlight

Neil.

Thanks Neil,

Think I'm right in saying I saw a post of yours where youd got some edition bits? car looks superb mate really does.

I was looking for a used example and had seen an alpine white with aftermarket black 19's on. I'd already picked out the alloys I wanted, then I 'popped' into my local dealer one saturday afternoon to see what used M3's they had in. I was pointed in the direction of the edition in monte carlo blue in the new sales and walked out of there having put a deposit down lol. It was like a sign from the motoring gods that the edition came with black alloys lol

I've been emailing BMW UK about the black wheels on the GTS and to see if they'd be made available to existing M3 owners, they keep replying to check back later.

I'll get some close up pics for you as soon as I see some sunshine lol

lol thanks I was going to get an M3 Alpine Edition also but the white centre bit put me off although in hindsight its not that hard to change it.

I was contemplating doing my mirrors ala edition, but I prefer the black surround with white back rather than the white surround with black back that you have. Still not sure about black wheels, I think I'm going to go for Silver Alufelgens.

The GTS wheels will be available shortly, they are going to be in the m3 Comp pack, should get the part numbers in April when the next ETK is out.

Cheers,
Neil.

Yeah I seen something briefly regarding the comp pack, I did look at the wheels but didnt think they were exactly the same as the GTS ones, do you know if they are the exact same wheels Neil?
If you get more information i'd very much appreciate if you could let me know Neil, obviously it woudl be a rough guess but any idea what BMW woudl charge for them??

EDIT: Just taken another look neil and the wheels on the pics I saw where silver not black like on the GTS? (the competion car press pics I saw where of a blue car on the ultimate car website?)
