question about first service date

so is the first service dat the # of miles that comes up on the screen when you push start? or is it somewhere around the day you first got your car? i drove hella hard today going home and the # of miles went from 11k to 10k... haha i have to schedule the service date around my winter break i suppose.

service date should be the one year mark, miles is the miles you have left to go for service.. So 10k means 10k MORE miles to go.. not service at 10k on car.

The miles count down to your service.
The rate at which they count down depends on your driving style and the condition of the oil accordingn to the oil condition sensor

Yes, when you just start up, it shows you how many km/miles that you have left before having to go in for service. For me, my next service would be to replace the air filter.

And of course, since you are in the USA, you should ask for a free oil change at the one year mark if your car doesn't tell you it's time for one.
