Comfort Access Problem???

I could use some help on this one. In short, I was able to touch the door handle to lock once and a second time to close the side mirrors. Now all of a sudden, I touch the door handle once to lock and the doors lock and mirrors close. I have tested both fobs away from each other and they both react the same. I have been to the dealer for an oil change, but that was weeks ago and the problem just surfaced a day ago? Did I do something to mess up the car's programming? What is going on here?

Actually the closing mirrors / windows / sunroof should operate the way you're doing it now. One touch, locks. One touch, extended (hold your hand there) and it begins to close mirrors / windows / sunroof.

Touching a "2nd time" should unlock the car, not continue the lock sequence... unless you were still in that zone and hadn't completely removed your hand, which in essence would translate to the aforementioned operation. I think this is probably what happened... you were quick in your "2nd time" touch that the CA system figured you were still holding on. Perhaps

Agreed and you might be leaving your finger on the ridges too long. It takes just a light touch to lock. In fact I usually do it while I'm starting to walk away already.

Touching a second time won't do anything, but leaving your finger on the ridges longer will fold in the mirrors.

Hey Ninjaneer, did you ever get that to work on your 2007? I gave up trying on mine.

Nope, it doesn't work. I still plan to take it to the dealership to have them look at it and hopefully they can program something to fix it.

I've just been too busy to schedule a time but soon I should be going in for that and tint.

You can remove the key from the box, stick it in the key hole and open the car. Just in case your battery is dead or the RF unit in the car is damaged.
