License Plate Frames?

I finally got my new tags the other day and installed them on the car. When I took the temp tags off I also took off the dealers license plate frame. Now my tags are bare back on the car. I was just wondering what percentage of people use a frame versus nothing at all. For those that are using frames, any interesting ones. Is there such a thing as a plane frame with no logos, etc?

I still have the dealer's frame on there... I'll probably take it off after I hunt for something better or decide to go w/o any as you did.

I've seen many frames w/o logos, so I'm sure you could find them.

I went frameless. I debated getting a frame, too, but I decided I much prefer the clean look without a frame.

I liked it so much, after a few days I took off the dealer frame from our other car.

I just noticed that in the image below (in my sig), there's a frame. That was from a shot when I had the temp tags.

I use the plain chrome BMW frame. It maybe in the E90 accessory catalog. I know it was in the E46 acc. catalog as I purchased it for my former E46.

I bought the brushed stainless Weathertech clearcase and think it looks great.

I didn't want any more BMW symbols or any advertising.

I just bought this "Italia" brand (made in the USA!) from autogeek.net. I don't know if I like it yet or not. What do you think?

I like it. From that picture, your car looks identical to mine. I have an Spk Graph 335 e90. From your details I gather that your car is arctic. Nonetheless, that helps. I like the simple but classy look. Thanks for the pic.

Hi HeadlessChicken:

I have the weathertech clearcase chrome-lined for the front and my alma mater frame on the rear...

rit's solution is pretty nice. If you're looking for something different, how about body-colored frames?

Interesting, but they don't offer Arctic.

I have a plain black metal frame; no BMW logo to be found. Picked it up at the dealer, for about $25. I refuse to use a dealer's frame - if they want me to advertise for them, then they should pay me accordingly. I think going frameless just looks rough and incomplete.

I use the chrome "bmw" plate frame in the back and the plain chome frame in the front. Use only genuine BMW plate frames because they "weather the storm" better than all others.
