2010 328i Lease Deal - Would it be better next month?

My friend wants an e90 328i and absolutely wants ZSP, and preferably 6MT. What is good is that his current lease isn't up so he isn't forced to move on it right now, or even this month; then again we all know what its like once those new BMW keys are almost in your pocket.

Although his SA initially tried to push a non-ZSP he had on the lot on him, he found a ZSP in North Carolina.

Here's the deal:

Options: 2010 328I Jet Black/Black Leather, ZVP, ZSP, and ZCW

Financials:

~$3,000 total down which includes Lease Inception Fee/Security Deposit/Destination/Bank Fee/Shipping/First Month's payment.

.00235 money factor

10,000 miles/year

36 month lease

$490/month (including tax)

I assume the dealers have more flexibility on this existing car in NC versus ordering a 2011 version of the car he wants (essentially the same equipment with different interior) and therefore he can work a better deal with the existing car. The SA seems to be saying there aren't a whole lot of ZSP with 6MT around out there in existing inventory.

As the MY2011s get closet to hitting showrooms, how much better a deal could one get? Obviously the concern is loosing this ZSP/6MT car that he could get right now.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for all input.

Couple of things:

1. The dealer is banging your friend over the head.

2. The MF for a 328i Sedan is .00220 not .00235, the dealer is bumping the MF by 15 basis points.

3. If the car is indeed on the dealer's lot, there is $1,000 in dealer cash for the 3er's.

4. The monthly payment with the $1k, PA 9% Tax, @ 10k miles/year is $484.06. This is with $500 dealer profit and $480 MACO.

5. The total out of pocket is $1,700. If your friend still wants to put 3k out of pocket, the payment will be even lower but I do not recommend doing it.

6. PM or email me at dmitriy@autocouturemotoring.com if you want this deal.

Lease programs change almost every month, no one knows how its going to be like when the 2011's come through.

That said, 3er's sell better than any other BMW on the lot. So I'm going to assume that the lease programs won't get too much better.

Seriously, I never cease to be amazed at how helpful/knowledgeable people always are on this forum, I'll certainly be talking to my friend and be in touch. Thanks.
