When will the "2nd batch" of E92's hit production?

Just curious. Some people say never buy the first generation of anything, whether it's a cell phone or a car. I'm just wondering at what point BMW might address whatever problems people are having with their e92's and put those changes in at the factory.

aren't changes always being put into cars in the factory?

I'd imagine if there's recalls for damaged parts (like these service fixes), it's cheaper to address the issue at the factory than to have the car brought back in after delivery (if you take the costs of space at the dealership, cost of additional labor, cost to send new parts to the dealership, and cost of customer dissatisfaction).

My 2001 e46 330i was a march production car of the first year of 330i cars. It had some changes due to failures in the field.

I assume that march production e92 will have a handfull of small improvements.

The first batch hasn't even cooled yet, and is still ohh so gooey and chewy.

Minor changes come throughout the year

major changes usually happen March or September and MY change in September ( USA marketing sometimes calls March cars a different MY, but thats just marketing )

Actually, it's not just marketing. The 5er became a 2007 in March - if I recall correctly - due to emissions requirements. It remained a 2006 everywhere else until Sept.

BMW is one of the companies that incorporates changes continuously throughout production. One of the reasons why you usually need a VIN # when buying parts for the car. It does seem like a huge logistics problem. But they have been that way since my '67 1800.
