Convertible plastic tray clips - help
I removed the plastic tray that raises and lowers in the trunk (for the convertible top) during a bluetooth install. I have the tray repositioned but need to secure it to the car via those 4 plastic clips. I am having no luck at getting those clips installed. I am sure I am just overlooking something really obvious. Can anyone give me some advice on getting those clips back in?

Yes, that's the problem. I have rather small hands and short arms and I can't get my hands around the tray from the trunk and I can't reach the clips from the inside of the car. I was wondering if there was a trick to this.

No secret that I'm aware of. The only thing that would make it easier is having an assistant. One person would work from inside the car to put the clips in place, while the other person would guide the person putting the clips on by inserting a screwdriver up through the slot from the inside of the trunk. Otherwise, if you do it with just one person you spend a considerable amount of timing searching for the correcdt place for the clip to be inserted.
Good luck! David |
