Performance after DCT updates

Having had the updates for the DCT, thought I give some feedback having blasted from the UK to Paris today............very very little lag in M mode, and on the rare occasion of sitting in default mode, i.e D2, no jerkiness or hesitation...............yet.........Not seen another M3 in Paris yet either............obvioulsy the surrender monkeys dont know a good thing when they see one!

Took the Eurotunnel from Ashford and they wanted £39 outward and £37 return.

Just sure if its just me, but eating anywhere in Paris is bloody expensive....2 coffes each...22 euros. Later that day a three course set meal with two beers each and a coffee each....87euros.

Another day at a swanky restuarant just off the Champs Elysees called L'Avenue, a three course meal with wine-215 Euros...but noticed a McD's nearby so might be worth popping in there instead........

There's an Argentian restaurant called Anahi - the steak is awesome. It looks completely run down from outside doesn't even have a sign outside - but the food and clientel are on another level.

Tell her Steak et Pomme Frittes is very French.

I was quite impressed with most of the food I ate there. They seem to take much more pride over food than our eateries do here.

Have to agree, food is good quality, but you do pay for it. The wine tends to be dear though as with most booze over there. Apparently they reduced their VAT as well, not that you'd know it.

Fuel is about 1.35 a litre, super unleaded that is!

Anyway have a good time

Went to elms Cambridge today and asked for
info on the latest update and he said the only
one showing on his screen was from 08 which
my car has already had! He said if a more recent
update existed it would be on the screen!

Can anyone give me info on which dealer they used
for recent update as I will contact them and get info
to give to elms!! I would think all BMW garage systems
would be all the same and up to date!!!!

Had mine done at Wayside in Milton Keynes, they had it overnight. My vert has a build date of July 2008 and had one update prior to me getting it (Oct 2009) apparently they can tell how many updates the car has had since build The update they gave was E89X-09-12-512 which, and if the guys on here know differently, is the latest update.

Hope that helps.

It may be because when they installed the update it may have changed your settings on Idrive......a few of mine were set back to factory settings, just had to reset. Try resetting your idrive and see what happens.
