E93 engine serial number location
Hello people,
New member here and glad I found you . As I am waiting for my E93 320 to arrive I have a question for whoever can help me. The car registration process for cars in my country requires that the officer reads the engine serial number directly from on the engine (log book or any other document not enough). Can anyone here guide me to where this serial number is imprinted. Thanks in advance |

I think the serial number on the engine is very difficult to get.
He will probably get the chassis number of the car on the far up left in the engine compartment.

By the replies to this post I realised that it is very difficult to find as no one else seems to have an idea to guide me but I know for sure that these guys at the Registration office wanna prove that the engine has not been changed or something. I am not sure they are gonna be satisfied with a chassis serial written elsewhere. This is what they do for imported used cars.
Anyone had a similar experience? |

Erm, open the hood and have them read the VIN? Surely that's what they're after?
It's stamped somewhere on the engine, I can't remember where, but it's easily visible. |
