Car on Steroids

Well, for about 3 days now my car is feeling like superman. For the past 3 days I have been driving preety hard cause I never really pushed it to the limits. I've been shifting like 5000 to redline and now it just feels faster overall. What is going on with my motor same octane gas,and same temp in general. And i am past break in i have 7000 miles. So.........What is going on?

lol, butt dyno means your "dynoing" based on what you feel. Like your driving and your butt is sitting in the seat and it just feels faster to you.

ok so back on topic, a lot of owners have reported different mileage for "full" break in. I think the average people are feeling a difference is 4000-5000 miles. Maybe your car finally fully broke in

I too agree that it has to be the lower temp making the car perform better.

It is fun stuff! Enjoy it safely,

Hey... you car is smarter than everyone in this forum. It's LEARNING. if you drive hard, it NOTICES, and begins to adjust (slowly, for smooth adjustment) for performance driving. If you get into a 330 that's used at 65mph with cruise everyday, and get into an EQUALLY EQUIPPED 330 that's got to pedal to the floor most of the time (like, say... mine.) the one driven hard will BE faster. not FEEL, but BE.

The DME (digital motor electronics) is adjusting all the little goodies for a more performance oriented fuel map.

It is basically the gradual breaking down of airflow restricting particles from your car's factory paint job. Sort of like sanding something down to make it smoother, your car now has better aerodynamics, thus resulting in it being faster.

I know it sounds like I'm joking...studies have proven that black paint is the worst culprit for this (something in the paint to make the deep black) and that the amount of resistance caused by this can reduce performance numbers.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean you are going FASTER than the average 330...it just means that you were most likely going SLOWER, and are now on par.

Either way..enjoy!
