2009 E90 Song Selection Issue!!

I just got my E90 a few months back and not a frequent visitor of the forum. I did a few search, but have no luck. I'm just curious if anyone have the same problem and if anybody know of any solutions.

I listen to music through my ipod nano almost 95% of the time I drive. The problem happens when i make any kind of pit stops, turn off the car and turn it back on again. When the car is restarted I can scroll through the playlist, but I can't select the song. When I push down, it'll show I select - but nothing happens. I have to exit out of the playlist to the main menu and go back in and I can select songs freely again.

Anybody understand what I'm saying or the issue? I'm planning to take the car in sometime next week.

I have this same issue. It is a very annoying ipod interface software bug.

Does anyone know if there is a new version of software that fixes this problem?

I've decided that iPod was a think of yesterday. My music files are downloaded to a 32 GB USB memory stick, which stays plugged in the glove compartment USB port. There are no problems using this method.

Can you access the stick from both key fobs? I basically spend about 3 hours last weekend putting music onto the hard drive from the USB port. Because my wife uses the car, I put a good amount of her stuff on there but it doesn't show up when she uses here key fob.

So I have to load it all again with her fob plugged in.

Update:

Went back to the dealership with the problem second time and everything is fixed with a software update.

Is there any way for you to check and/or post your sw version. I just got a 2011 328 and have very similar (not exactly the same) problems to what you are describing above with my iPod Touch. When I stop the car and get in/out, the playlists get messed up and I have to exit and re-enter to clear it up... I just got the car a week ago, so I'd be shocked if the SW isn't up to date, but you never know.
