What service is due?

I am a bit thick here guys

Car is e92 325d M Sport Auto Reg 03/08
Its done 11,000 miles but my service is due in Feb,but what all is due?

Got sent a quote that said

Service Standard Scope (Whats this?)
Microfilter service
Oil Service
Brake Fluid Service

Is that correct?

Total came to

Parts £198
Labour £78

If this is correct then i will buy all parts myself at trade price from BMW and they can charge me the £78 labour

Also they have said Oil 5w 30 but i thought it was 0w 30?

That's exactly the servicing I got last month. Oil change specified by your CBS indicator, whilst the micro filter and brake fluid is based upon time - two years (approx.) My bill was £259 in total.

The service standard scope means that it is only the basic standard service specified by BMW which includes fluid checks and such like - the usual padding to make it look like it's more than what it is - an oil change.

Quick update Pete. Booked my motor in for Wednesday. It's having oil change, brake fluid and micro filter. Asked for quote and the girl printed me off dummy invoice with brake fluid change 70 quid, oil 150 and micro 50. Asked how much they charge for oil and how much is needed. She said they charge 12.89+ vat per litre and I would need 5.5 litres. I've gone and bought mobil 1 5w 30. Which she showed me in the showroom. Got 5 litres from halfords for 50 quid so should just be labour to pay for the oil. All in should be around 250 I think?

The retail-packed Mobil 1 goes in the technician's boot and you get 5l of generic crap out of a 25 gallon drum.

Wouldn't surprise me Ian! Either way it should work out cheaper. Is there any way of telling?

I don't suppose there is. Seriously though it's unlikely and the 25 gallon drum will still contain quality oil anyway.

I just got local dealer down to £286 from £315, so was feeling quite happy.

Anybody got any cheaeper deals - south manc/cheshire.

One the plus note, this is my cars first service at 20k miles / 2 years old - thats bloody good I reckon
