The bulb sockets on the interior of the E90's won't throw an error code if you replace the bulbs with LED. I know this because my car (E93 M3)and a friends E90 were just in a photoshoot for an LED supplier in NY.

The license plate is a different story and WILL throw a bulb out error code if you don't use an LED with error cancelling technology. So just becareful when choosing your LED replacements.
