I'd be interested in this as I've bought Halfords and Morrisons brands plus the BMW dealer gave me BMW brand for free when i bought some stuff and apart from the colour of all three, i saw no difference.

+1, having tried them all the BMW is unbeatable.
Its clear, works great, doesn't smell of cheap vodka, won't clog your pump and doesn't freeze even at fairly low concentrations. 50/50 is a bit generous IMO. That's about £8 a fill. as the tank holds 5 litres i think? I use 1/2 a litre then top up with water, works great, doesn't freeze at -7 as proven on Monday morning. |

haha , i went to my friends authorised BMW service garage, and i asked him for a bottle of this screen wash.
He laughed..... and he recommended me this: Then i laughed..... until i tried it. I know its hard to find it in the UK. Its a Cyprus alcohol dring called Zivania.. Probably the best drink you can have specially in winter accompanied with meze Its magic.. Zivania keeps your windsceen crystal clear, no stains, no moisture, no ice or anything.. Just add a shot of this in the windscreen water tank and thats it... |

Plus, if you get stranded over night... You've got a nice nightcap.
Well I say nice. I get the impression that one is just a bit intestine stripping ?

£4 for 5 litres for screenwash from costco. Not even a jot of an issue with anything over 5 bmw's and about a half million road miles over the past 4 years.
im afraid ive not won the lottery yet and can afford £3 a litre for bmw screenwash. Id say the sludge is more down to the impurities in the local water than the screenwash. |

My washers started pumping out what looked like a mix of flour and water or worse! I thought that the BMW techs had been jacking off into my screen wash reservoir when it was last in for a service. However when confronted they said that they hadn't and it was my fault for using cheap screen wash (though I never have) They have assured me that if I stick to BMW screen wash they wont jack off around my car again!

And the smaller bottle fits in the boot side space. Still didn't freeze at -10 or so last week. My E90 330i was in FOUR times for blocked washer pumps, each time they showed me the blue jelly set in the bottom of the tank, it is due to a poor bottle design yes, but it was always various brands of blue stuff blocking it up. And the water came from all over the country!! Wherever I topped up. Might give the halfords stuff a go - but that would mean going to Halfords, which is a bad idea. |

FWIW the halfords stuff goes an electric green so at least the bottom of the bottle will be a different colour!! Never had 'blue jelly' in the bottom of any washer bottle, what have you been using?
