225 19" Wheels on an LCI e90 320d

Can I put original 225 19" wheels on my LCI e90 320d? I heard or read somewhere that on the LCI the track had been adjusted or something on the rear axle.

That is another thing...why are 19"s no longer listed as an option for the LCI e90? Can anybody enlighten me?

Thanks

THey aren't listed as an option because they are subject to cracking and BMW doesn't want to sell something that they're going to have to replace.

Yes - you can put 225m's on an LCI. The LCI track was by 18mm (I think) over the pre-LCI, making the overall track width slightly wider than the e92. 225m's could actually handle a 5mm spacer on the rear, so there is plenty of room.

19" wheels are no longer offered due to the watch dog / cracked wheel saga - search in the UK section to find more info.

Very interesting. Have just read through that lot. So let me ask this: if you had a choice to make between brand new CSL replicas with brand new Pirelli run flats or second hand original 225s in excellent condition with Bridgestone run flats with 10,000kms on them, which would you choose?

Price is pretty much the same.

I would go with the 225's after a very close inside inspection, and then replace the RFT's with proper tyres
