Alpina Discounts
Thinking of replacing the 335d coupe with a D3 bi turbo saloon as we could do with the extra doors, still loving the performance etc but 3 doors and poor weather = Grumpy wife
Do the normal rules apply with these cars, in other words thay have a car in my local showroom so can I expect to get a good discount ? Thanks all

All the Alpina cars are only sold through the Sytner network, and generally discounts are harder to come by than for the regular BMW cars. However I'm sure there would be a degree of movement

I expect there will be some discount but not as much as for a standard BMW. Last year (2009) Sytner imported over 104 D3 BiTurbo Saloons, & 17 Coupe’s the year before this was just 3 saloons & 53 coupe’s.

Dont forget that if you want to add any options to an Alpina there is a £1500 fee before the cost of the option as it is classed as a special order......so if you want Sat Nav (not standard on a D3) it will cost you over £3000!

The B3 Biturbo seems to be quite good value for money from what the specs suggest. All the reviewers are loving it too

If I went ahead it would be on the showroom car as this usually offers more bargaining power, I'm going to hold off until the last week of Jan then go in and make them an offer.
The only thing that puts me off the showroom model is manual air con but am I right in assuming this can be retrofitted as a plug and play unit ?

Professional navigation is standard on the B3 Bi Turbo. All other options are the same price as BMW charges. However, on the D3 Pro Nav is £2960

I would expect at least 12K difference between a D3 BiTurbo and a B3 BiTurbo for a car that is less then three years old. They are two very different beasts.

Indeed the B3 bi-turbo and D3 bi-turbo are totally different price wise, and hell of a difference that is! I have only ever seen two B3 bi turbo saloons. I think £1500 premium although a bit cheeky, is at the end of the day worth it. How many D3 bi-turbo's/D3 do you see with xenons, leather, navi? Only seen one in similar spec to that. At least now they let you have one built, I was so put off by refusal to alter the spec on an original D3 saloon that I bought something else at the time.
Though i guess you will get the best deal on something in build or in stock. If you're really interested, give Laurence Bennett a call on 01708 371234 and I'm sure he will work with you now to get the best possible deal. He's the sales manager at Sytner Harold Wood, and a courteous chap to deal with. If you call do them him you're on e90post. |
